PhotoSubaru of America is recalling 8,915 model year 2022 BRZs and Toyota GR86s.

The rear turn signals may intermittently become inoperative and fail to notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will replace both rear combination lamp assemblies free of charge.

Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed October 29, 2023, with second letters sent once the remedy is available.

Subaru owners may contact Subaru's customer service at (844) 373-6614. Toyota owners may contact Toyota customer service at (800) 331-4331. Subaru's number for this recall is WRM-23.
